The symposium will cover major topics regarding the application of synchrotron radiation techniques in areas related to material science, catalytic systems, structural biology, advanced engineering. This symposium aims to bring together experts in synchrotron science to promote international collaboration and interdisciplinary exchange of knowledge and expertise in applications related to synchrotron radiation. Besides, it aims to promote greater awareness amongst the local and regional scientific community on the synchrotron-based capabilities available in Singapore.

Proposed Topics:
• Novel Applications of Synchrotron Techniques in Advanced Nano-materials, thin-films and interfaces
• Novel Investigative Techniques of Strongly-correlated Systems, Magnetic and Electronic Materials
• Synchrotron-based Applications in Clean Energy Materials and Electronics (Catalysis, Photovoltaics, and others)
• Recent trends of Synchrotron Radiation in Organic Materials, Soft Condensed Matter and Biological Systems (without excluding any other systems)
